Pants: A Feminist Statement

For a Creative Technical assignment I created a pair of denim patch pants with a pink pocket detail. I drew inspiration for the pants project after learning that pants were only to be worn by men before liberated women wore them to defy gender norms. With this, I wanted to add bold print to speak to this ‘radical’ act of resistance to societal expectations. The pink pocket and breast pillow were paired to relate to things now associated with womanhood.
